Skill Scholarship

Participants who completed the entire Master Remote Worker Professional Certificate course may be eligible for a skill scholarship to obtain additional training to help prepare for remote or freelance work. Please review all of the following information carefully before completing an online application.

What to Do Before Applying:

  1. Locate the desired training and determine costs. Remember, you are ultimately responsible for all training costs.

    You may opt to apply for scholarships to help with tuition costs at any of the following educational sites. You may also be able to find free or reduced costs training at the Division of Workforce Services (DWS) or a Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

    • Non-Credit Courses
      • Utah State University Eastern (primarily online courses)
      • Applied Technical College System
    • Credit Courses
      • Utah State University or USU Eastern
      • Any other USHE or accredited institution in Utah
    • National Online Providers (available through an annual license)
      • Pluralsight
      • Skillshare
      • Flexjobs

  2. If needed, apply to the school of your choice and register for the desired course. Note: You do not have to apply in advance if you are seeking an online license with a national provider.
  3. Use the link below to complete an online application. Be sure to include any required documentation of course registration and costs when completing the application.
